
The transport ministry (MoT) has introduced the formation of a digital advisory council (Jawatankuasa Penasihat Digital, JPD) consisting of ICT consultants from varied industries to help within the digitalisation efforts of the ministry.
Based on a press release launched by MoT at present, JPD will contribute its experience to strengthen the ministry’s digitalisation initiatives within the elements of stability of companies, cybersecurity and person expertise. The 5 JPD members will serve professional bono, without charge to the federal government.
The council will probably be chaired by Datuk Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, who was chairman and CEO of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Fee (MCMC) from 2011 to 2014.
